Security

Most EddiesPDF tools run entirely in your own browser. When you open a file to edit, merge, split, or convert it, the processing happens on your device using your browser's own capabilities - the file itself does not need to be uploaded to a server for these tools to work.

How your files are handled

For tools that process files locally, your document stays on your device throughout the entire process, and is never transmitted anywhere. Some features - like saving a signature request for others to sign, or syncing to Google Drive - do require sending data to our servers or a connected third-party service, since those features can't work otherwise. In those specific cases, data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Account data

If you create an account, your authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, an infrastructure service provided by Google. We do not store your password ourselves. Activity history (like your list of recent files) is stored in your account so it's available across sessions.
